Hydro4M2 is Hydromars’ first orbital demonstration payload, developed to validate our water recovery technology in the challenging environment of microgravity. Designed and built in under 15 months, the system was primarily developed in-house and includes various components and subsystems spanning process, thermal, electrical, data, and structural domains. This compact prototype is engineered to replicate key functions of our future full-scale system and has undergone rigorous integration and testing to ensure operational readiness in orbit.
Hydro4M2 will be tested through key mission phases, including in-orbit payload activation and system operation in microgravity. Following the mission, the payload is scheduled for recovery and return to Hydromars within a few months.
