Hydromars is pleased to announce an upcoming seminar at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, presented by Dr. Sherwin Gormly, Senior Advisor for Water ECLSS Engineering at Hydromars.
The seminar, titled “Environmental Control and Life Support, the Long View,” will take place on 14 August 2025, from 14:15 to 14:45 CET, at KTH Main Campus in D3, Stockholm.
In this session, Dr. Gormly will explore the design and operation of Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) - technologies that are essential to sustaining human life during long-duration space missions. Drawing on decades of experience, including his leadership of NASA’s Water Recycle Laboratory at Ames Research Center, he will discuss the core challenges and innovations involved in creating regenerative systems for air, water, and waste in closed environments.
This event is hosted by the KTH Space Center, a multidisciplinary platform for space-related research and education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
The seminar is open to students, researchers, and professionals with an interest in space technology, systems engineering, and life support systems.
